BPTO regulates the prosecution and international registration of industrial designs
On July 4, 2023, the Brazilian Patent and Trademark Office published Ordinance/INPI/PR No. 25, regulating the prosecution and registration of industrial designs within the scope of the Hague Agreement.
The Hague Agreement enables the international registration of industrial designs in the signatory countries of the Agreement, under simplified procedures and with a significant reduction of costs.
The Ordinance, which may be read, in Portuguese, at this link, will enter into force on August 1st, 2023.
