The BPTO published for public consultation the draft Resolution about the Madrid Protocol. Interested parties may send suggestions and comments until June 27, 2019.
The Brazilian Patent and Trademark Office (“BPTO”) is preparing to implement proceedings for (a) trademark registration in a multiclass system; (b) joint ownership of trademark registrations; (c) divisions of trademark registrations and applications; and (d) trademark registrations under the Madrid Protocol. Four resolutions were published dealing with trademark registrations under these conditions.
The BPTO published the public consultation on the draft Resolution about the BPTO’s proceedings that will enable the implementation of the Madrid Protocol.
Interested parties may send suggestions and comments until June 27, 2019. After such deadline, the BPTO will present the proposals received, the responses to the contributions and the final text of the Resolution.
