The Brazilian National Film Agency increases the number of members of the task force responsible for monitoring audiovisual projects.
The Brazilian National Film Agency (“ANCINE”) recently announced an increase in the number of members of the team responsible for monitoring audiovisual projects financed through incentive funds, created in 2020. Now, the task force will have 14 new members, in addition to the 12 previous members of the team.
According to ANCINE, this measure is a result of a diagnosis that verified the existence of 5,635 projects still active within the Agency, of which approximately 1,800 are in the accountability and report stage and have not been analyzed. ANCINE also informed that, with the expansion of the task force, it expects to expedite the analysis of the projects to meet the deadlines and obligations related to the accountability process.
