Industrial designs: new procedure in force
On July 25th, 2023, the Brazilian Patent and Trademark Office (BPTO) announced that Brazil has joined the WIPO Digital Access Service (DAS) for prosecution of industrial designs. BPTO reaches annual limit of requests for participating in the PPH pilot project
On July 17th, 2023, the Brazilian Patent and Trademark Office informed that it has reached the limit of 800 requests for participation on phase IV of the PPH pilot project for 2023. Considering that new requests will not be accepted for 2023, interested parties will have to wait until next year.
