The 2nd edition of the Manual of Industrial Designs of the Brazilian PTO
The Brazilian PTO is carrying out a public consultation on the 2nd edition of the Manual of Industrial Designs. Interested parties may send suggestions until December 7.
The public consultation covers the following main issues:
2 – What is considered an industrial design;
4 – Formal Examination; and
5 – Technical Examination.
Other changes encompass the adaptation of the Manual to electronic petitions, as a result of the implementation of the new system for examining and managing industrial design registration processes. Such changes, however, will not be the subject of this public consultation.
